Custom Error Pages in Website Hosting
If you order a website hosting from our company, you will be able to set custom error pages for your sites quickly and easily, as this function is a part of all our solutions. The moment you have created the files and uploaded them to your website hosting account, you should check out the Hosted Domains section of your Hepsia Control Panel and click on the Edit button for the specific domain or subdomain. Inside the pop-up that will show up, you shall see drop-down options menus for all four kinds of errors and for each of them you may choose an Apache default page, a generic page from our system or a personalized page. In case you choose the 3rd option, you should just enter the URL to the file that you've uploaded then save the change. One other way to set custom made error pages is to set up an .htaccess file in the domain or subdomain folder and to include a couple of lines of program code in it. If you do not have previous experience or if you're just unsure how to do this, you could simply copy and paste the code from our Knowledge Base article on that subject.
Custom Error Pages in Semi-dedicated Servers
All semi-dedicated servers which we provide support custom error pages and it will not take more than a few clicks inside your Hepsia website hosting Control Panel to use this feature. The option is available in the Hosted Domains section of your CP where you'll need to enter the links to the custom-made files through simple drop-down menus and an intuitive interface. Of course, you have to upload them in your account before that. If you don't want to employ this feature at some point, you could deactivate it just as quickly and select an Apache server page or a default page from our system to be viewable if your visitors encounter an error. If you'd like to, you may also use an .htaccess file to permit the personalized error pages. The file needs to have a specific line of code plus a link for each error type and you can easily find an example of the whole content for all four error types in our Help section.
